The news...

Brayden.....on our first outing (Brayden, Brynn and Mommy), we went to Rite-Aid. Brayden saw a blow-up grinch popping out of a chimney and he asked, "Is that an alien Santa??"

Brayden likes to call Brynn, "little fussy."

He is always eager to have a play buddy. When he is playing with daddy, he likes to say, "what can we play without playing?"

Will you play with me? is the saying you will probably hear 100 times a day, even when in the middle of playing.

Brayden has been trying out a lot of big and/or interesting words. He saw his friend Eva's dog the other day and said, "Did she PERK up her ears?"

Brayden loves to sing songs and is starting to make up his own words to songs. The other day, he sang, "Jesus, God is coming to town."

When he doesn't remember the words, he will make up his own.

Deb has asked him to remind her to pray at meal times, and quite often, he does.

His cute phrases expressing emotions and excitement about things include, "I can't wait" and "I love it" and "I'm so excited."

He is really into asking questions. His big one is, "What's that?"

Other phrases he says quite often are, "OH NO!" and "Yep".

When he talks about a "time out", he calls it "out of time." His fire-breathing dragon is often called a "dragon-breathing fire." His game system is a "system game"

At dinner time we always try to eat his food to encourage him to eat it and when he really doesn't want it, he says, "we can share it."

His eating habits are funny at the moment. He things everything has a crust so won't eat the last few bites of anything.

Bray likes to pretend he is his baby dolls mommy. He changes her diaper, walks her to sleep, kisses her face, and nurses her under his shirt.

He wears a size 9 shoe and loves to cook. He rarely eats anything he cooks though.

He goes down his slide head first and can jump over things with 2 feet simultaneously.

He loves to play in the playhouses at fast-food restaurants.

He is so funny with strangers. He asks them questions like, "what is your name?" and then proceed with more questions to get to know them.....even with the homeless men at McDonalds.

He has very good aim when he throws and kicks a ball. He had great eye-hand co-ordination when hammering the nails into him project at Lowe's. He made a squirrel feeder.

He is involved with Library class, music class, gymnastics class and play dates.

He is a very kind, polite and considerate boy and dearly loves his little sister.

Brynn........is so good natured. As long as she has someone to cuddle with and talk to or smile and laugh at, she is happy. Her favorite thing is to have someone put their face right up to hers and smile and laugh. She loves it if you repeat what she says and make funny noises at her.

She is content with anything and everything, including diaper changes and baths. She only fusses when she is hungry or wants to sleep.

Her head and neck are getting so strong. She holds up her head and pushes herself up a lot.

She loves chewing on her fists. She has found that is really hard to do that and nurse at the same time though. She says pacifiers are "out" and fists are "in". She also loves to chew on her blankets.

She kneads her hands on her blankets and on our shirts.

She is very ticklish. She literally giggles. She laughes about all kinds of things all day long.

She is so responsive and shows recognition and excitement in what she is doing. She loves peek-a-boo, how big is Brynnie, books, finger and toe plays, raspberry on her belly, but her favorite toy is a familiar face.

She is very deliberate when playing with the toys on her play mat. You can see the wheels turning as she looks at something and then grasps it.

She is showing signs of recognizing cause and effect as in when her toys are motion sensored and she waits for you to start the music again or tries to kick it to start it herself.

She always has goopies in her eyes or buggers in her nose, along with a touch of cradle cap.

At 10 weeks she weighed 11 lbs. 4 oz. (75%), 23 inches long (75%), and a head circumference of 44 cm (95%). She grew 4 lbs. in less than 2 months. You can see how long she is from the pictures.

Our big family news is that we are getting ready to sell our condo and move on to find a bigger and better house.
