Last 19 month update!

Jan. 28

Brayden was just watching his video and it was talking about a truck “going far, far away.” Brayden stopped, looked up and said, “Going Papa’s house!” I thought it was so cute because Brayden asks to got to Papa’s house every day, he even added “and Noni house!” today. I always tell him that Papa’s house is far, far away.

Brayden can count from 1-10 completely now. He has added in the 4. You can see it in the eating video following this posting. I can’t believe all he knows. He even points around as he is counting like he knows you have to keep adding things up. He is recognizing purple, pink, white, and gray along with all the others he knows. He recognizes a square, circle and rectangle also. I didn’t even have kindergarteners that could recognize those things. He loves to me to write and chant his name. He always asks, “Write name?” He also loves for someone to trace his hand.

Brayden loves to play his instruments and shake scarves to music and dance (it has been funny to see the way he dances change so much, this new one is the funniest) and march. He is singing so many songs and rhymes. His new songs are Rock a by Baby, and he helps me with You are my Sunshine. He has started doing This Little Piggie with his toes. It is so cute! He even makes up his own songs some time and just “oh, oh’s” to a made up melody. It is very sweet.

Brayden loves to help cook. He made spinach-art dip with me today. He poured in the grated cheese, shook in the dry ingredients, and mixed it like crazy. We had a nice mess by the time we were done, but boy was it fun.

Brayden loves, loves, loves art time. We have window marker, water colors, crayons, play dough, finger paints, and a magna doddle. He wants to do it all every day. He even had bathtub crayons and blue shaving cream.

Brayden has become more and more attached to his stuffed animals. He really loves his teddy. The other night he noticed teddy’s eye was coming unraveled. He put on a very pathetic, sad voice and said, “Broke, Teddy broke!” Then Brayden touches his own eye and said, “Eye Broke!” He is becoming very observant. He noticed after his bath the condensation dripping down the toilet saying, “What that?”

Brayden loves to just be silly and roll on the floor, fall off his bike and jump all over the bed. He loves chase and tickle time.

Here we are snow shoeing with Chad and Tiff Rudow (friends from Graceland and next door neighbors) this weekend. Next time we are taking the sled. Won’t that be fun!
